Let Love Flow Like a River is a deep meaningful love poem which I wrote in a time of my grief and desperation.
I could not express how upset I am because of rejection. I am used to being accepted by everyone – praised, admired, being looked up to.
And when someone rejected me, someone who is dear to my heart, it’s as if my world has fallen apart.
I couldn’t fathom how someone won’t like me. I may not be perfect but I know I’m not rude nor annoying. What do they see in me that makes them hate me?
A friend told me that whatever I do or no matter how I try to be pleasant, there will always be people who won’t like me simply because they don’t like me.
And I shouldn’t take it personally. Just because they don’t like me it doesn’t mean I am a bad person.
And that became one of the principles I live by. I don’t stress myself out thinking or wondering why they have to reject me. I know myself. I know I’m a good person.
I choose to be a good person. I choose love over hate. I choose forgiveness over grudges. And I hope you do the same. Here is a deep meaningful love poem for all of you.
Let Love Flow Like a River
May your heart be filled with love
Like a river that will flow from you
May it quench the thirst of people
All of them that come to you
May it reach out to those who are far away
All of them that are against you
May your heart be free from sorrow
So that those who drink may not cry
May your heart be filled with joy instead
So that all may feel happy and content
May your heart be filled with hope
That their faith and light be rekindled
And may you not let your heart empty
May you always fill it with love
So that all who drink from you
May never feel empty too
May they fill their hearts with love
May they flow like a river too
